The last and a lot of first's

Wow I am behind....again! We have had a big month! On May 23, Pat's youngest brother Jody got married in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. He is the last of the six Stier siblings to tie the knot. It's kind of sad to think we won't have anymore family weddings!

We had an awesome time! Lily did great on the first flight which was a huge relief for me. Every morning Pat would get up with her and take her to breakfast so I could rest and take my time getting ready. They would follow that up with a swim in the pool.

 

When I say Lily loves the water, I mean she loves the water! She began most of her morning naps in the pool and finished them in the cabana.

The wedding was original and exactly what I would expect of Jody and Amy. She looked beautiful and the ceremony was very sweet.

 

I ended up with way more pictures like this then the previous one. Haha!

The reception was on the beach, laid back and full of dancing. When the music started Lily began bouncing and swinging her arms and legs (she gets her moves from Pat)!

We spent our last day on the beach. I am glad that Lily's first experience was in such a beautiful place. I am disappointed I didn't make a point to take her there more because she loved it. Pat took her out in the water and she laughed when the waves splashed her face. I imagined taking adorable pictures of her on the beach but she was too into the sand to take her eyes off of it for one second. She wiggled her feet, dug with her hands and managed to get a few handfuls in her mouth while I was busy trying to get the perfect pic.

 It was the first time in months we had the opportunity to spend days on end together as a family and we didn't waste one minute of it. We had a blast catching up with family while celebrating the happy couple!

iLily

I recently entered the 21st century and got a smart phone. Before that I never had the capabilities of taking pictures and sharing them in any way other than a text message. Even though my phone takes decent pictures I am not a fan of using those for blogging. But I have become lazy and those mostly only use my phone these days so I thought I would share some of my favorite 'iLily' moments!

Proud Parents

As most babies do, Lily loves bath time but I have wondered if she would feel the same about big water. Well, we found out this weekend! For those of you that may not know, her Grandma Christie has been teaching swimming lessons for over 20 years. She and I have had many conversations about "dunking" Lily. Sunday we put her in and she loved it!

Her lesson went great. There was some fussing but much less than I expected. Pat and I are very proud of her and can't wait to see what the summer brings!

Happy Easter!

I am not sure why but I really, really, really wanted to take Lily to see the Easter Bunny. She hasn't been feeling well so it took me 2 tries to actually get to the mall. She was happy the entire wait....until it was our turn. She was over it! I put her on the bunny's lap, pulled out her binky and this is what we got...

I never had any intention of making this a tradition but after standing in line for 3 overpriced, poor quality photos I will not be doing this again next year but I am happy to have the memories of Lily on her first Easter, overdressed, whining on a creepy bunny's lap!

She turned 5 months (WOW!) 2 days after Easter so I went with the bunny theme this month. Here is my little funny bunny!

I had to take many, many pictures to get the 2 previous "good" ones. She spent most of her time trying to eat her tutu, the eggs and everything else she could get her hands on.

So, while I had a grand vision for her photos, she was uncooperative but that's okay....I've got many years of dress up ahead to make up for it.
