The Graduate

I cannot believe that Dylan has graduated high school! Where has the time gone?! He has grown into such a nice boy, or should I say man. We could not be more proud of him!

He is standing, far left. The most handsome one ;)

This was quick trip for us. After the travel time we only had a few days in PA but for those three days we enjoyed the beautiful outdoors. I love being in Port Allegany in the summer! Pat was preoccupied with work on Friday but he made up for it on Saturday. He bought every outdoor toy the drug store had to offer and even a few fireworks. We ran in the grass, played in the water, grilled out and enjoyed the refreshing mountain air.

Lily found a record of Disney songs and tried her hardest to figure out how to get it to work. She kept trying to slide it in the side of the TV. It was hilarious! Poor thing was so confused.

Because we were limited on time our trips up and back were pretty uneventful but we made a quick stop at the New River Gorge for a break on our way home.

Our trip got the ball rolling and the summer fun hasn't slowed down. We have filled our days with  water and sunshine, including Lily's first tubing experience. She loved it! We haven't done any swimming lessons yet but her skills have improved on their own since last year and she is doing great.

There is something about the boat and hummus that put this girl right to sleep!

Aside from the obvious reasons we love summer, I am especially fond of it because our office closes at 4:00. That hour makes all the difference in the world! We love the extra time outside and I like having more time to prepare meals. It makes it easier to tolerate the extra mess my little helper leaves behind. ;) For Fathers day we made pies, one for the family and Lily made her very own, "with sprinkles!" of course!

Just a few more pics...

"Princess Butterfly"

"I have to do my work"

Picnic lunches are our favorite!

The heat is a getting crazy but we take the good with the bad and are making the best of summer!
