We've been

....catching up with friends!

I can't believe I forgot to include this in my last post, but my longest friend (we decided 'oldest' sounded....well, too old) came to town! We haven't seen each other in years. It was awesome and almost surreal to be able to send time with her! Our visit wasn't long enough but it did the trick. I love you, Taylor!!

....spending time with cousins!

Denver came to stay while Ryan and Haley went to The Masters. We loved having him! I made sure to point out to Pat that 2 children was not that much different than one and I had no problem caring for both of them. ;)

Lily and I made a last minute trip to Charleston when we found out that Shelly would be visiting Haley for the weekend. We only stayed one night but the kids had a blast!

.....getting a door!

We finally have a bedroom door!!! I can't tell you how happy I am! As I have mentioned before, the previous owner took everything from the house, including our door. The opening is arched so we knew we would need to keep the same type of door that was there before, a sliding barn door. The irony of this situation and what Pat does for a living is not lost on me but he does things in his own time. He wanted to make sure the door was built and installed perfectly and after 2 years it is! I LOVE the way it turned out!

After.

.....landscaping!

I mentioned to Pat that I would like a grassy area for Lily to play in and unlike our bedroom door, he jumped all of over it! Now we have football fields of grass! The dogs even have their own grassy area.

This will be the future home of Lily's swing set.

....playing outside.

BUBBLES!

Playing in the rain!

Having tea parties!

Drying off in the warm air after bath time!

Catching some air!

.....riding ponies!

Shelly organized a pony ride with her cousin, Heidi. When she mentioned it to me, I was all over it. Lily is an animal lover and quite adventurous so I thought this would be perfect for her!

She held on tight to the reins and loved every minute of it! Heidi said she was a natural; who knows, we might have future equestrian on our hands.

We recently introduced Lily to honeysuckles and ever since she has been trying to eat every flower she sees.

We are enjoying the longer days and looking forward to the fun that this summer is going to bring!
